So our world was rocked on March 25th, Liam’s exact due date. My contractions started at 3am and didn’t stop until he came. We waited out the first stage of labor at home and once 10am came we decided to go to the hospital just to see how far along we were. Since the hospital is literally 3 minutes from our house, we figured it was no big deal if they sent us back home. So we got to the hospital but the parking lot was full so we pulled up front to the valet. Once I got out of the car I had a contraction and then my water broke, so it looked like we were staying. After they did some initial tests we were sent to the delivery room by 11:30, and by 5:00 pm he was born.

And ever since then we’ve been catching up on sleep. I think the most I’ve got so far is 3-4 hours. We definitely underestimated how exhausting newborns can be. We’ve already figured out that we have a very sensitive and touchy baby. He cries a lot and is a terrible eater, but boy is he cute. We are just trying to survive each day. Please keep the 3 of us in your prayers as we ourselves are praying for patience, joy, rest, peace, and a content baby.

If you’re on facebook, Dylan has been uploading pictures almost everyday but here are a few of my favorites.
